Tip: put something specific in the subject line (example: “FAQ suggestion: rimming + boundaries”).
Good reasons to write
- You found something unclear and want it explained better.
- You have a question you think should be answered in the FAQ.
- You want to suggest a new category (e.g., dating apps, long-term relationships, health, communication, boundaries).
- You want to suggest a topic that is under-discussed (especially for straight, bi, and bicurious men).
- You want to share a personal story or lived experience that could help other people feel less alone.
- You’ve been in a situation (dating, relationship, marriage, hookup, conversation, rejection, pressure) and want to tell what actually happened.
Stories are welcome
A major goal for 2026 is to give people a way to share real experiences — not just definitions. If you have a story, we want to hear it.
We welcome email from gay, bisexual, bicurious, and straight men — and from anyone who has thoughtful opinions, suggestions, questions, or lived experiences about side identity and gay intimacy.
What kind of story is useful?
The most helpful stories are specific and honest: what you believed, what you tried, what surprised you, what went well, what didn’t, and what you wish someone had told you earlier.
If you’re comfortable, include context like: age range, relationship status, whether you were new to men, and the kind of situation you were in (app date, long-term partner, marriage, etc.).
Privacy note
Don’t include private identifying details about other people (full names, workplaces, addresses). If you want your story to be shareable later, say what level of anonymity you want.
If you’re writing about something heavy (coercion, trauma, mental health), you’re welcome here — and it may also be worth talking to a qualified professional who can support you directly.
Where the site is headed
SideGays is mainly informational right now. In 2026, the plan is to expand into a bigger platform — likely with a blog, more structured guides, and a way for people to share stories and experiences.
If there’s a direction you want this site to take, say so.
